The MOVES group proudly announces that Professor Joost-Pieter Katoen has received the “FAMOS für Familie” price by RWTH Aachen University. Based on nominations by employees, it is yearly awarded to management personnel at our university. Its aim is to acknowledge particular effort for family-friendly working conditions, sustainable team leadership, and creative solutions to staff management.
The seven winners of the present year were selected by a jury made up of representatives from the Rector’s Office, Equal Opportunities Office, Integration Team, Family Services Center, and both Staff Councils. The honorific speech was given by Deputy Chancellor Thomas Trännapp, who dignified Professor Katoen by citing from the nomination letter as follows: “Für Herrn Katoen ist ein wesentlicher Bestandteil des Erfolgs an seinem Institut die homogene Zusammensetzung der Arbeitsgruppe, stetige Motivation und Anerkennung der Arbeitsergebnisse, fortwährende Maßnahmen zur Teambildung und nicht zuletzt ein ernstes und teilnehmendes Interesse an den persönlichen Belangen seiner Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter.”
